Technical Product Manager - Consumer Platform

Clover is seeking a Technical Product Manager to join our Consumer team that is focused on building the most-expansive network of small-businesses in the world.

As a member of the Consumer team you will work with a dedicated engineering team to exponentially grow the scope and reach of our customer data models. You will drive the development of the technical representation of consumers within the Clover ecosystem, providing core data models for use across multiple products and APIs.

This role reports to the Group Product Manager, Consumer.

You’ll be responsible for:
Understanding the needs of consumers and the ways they interact with the merchants they love
Leading the development and iteration of our core customer data models
Developing and maintaining the product roadmap and backlog for your engineering team
Ensure your engineering team and stakeholders understand customer pain points, strategic vision and technical trade-offs involved in the overall roadmap and strategy
Owning and tracking KPIs and metrics that inform product success and health
Building business cases for new product efforts as opportunities arise
Participating in and leading cross-functional meetings including stand ups, retrospectives, and planning

The ideal candidate has:
3-5 years experience in product management defining and leading technical product development.
Deep understanding of data modeling, APIs, microservices, and databases with bonus points for experience in the payments space.
Technical expertise to understand and ask questions regarding technical architecture and solutions to ensure that outcomes are successful
The ability to collaborate with internal and external teams to drive adoption of our customer data models.
Deep customer empathy and experience shaping product direction and execution based on customer needs and behavior
Desire to learn and discover technical solutions to address scale and performance demands of an ever growing data set
Ability to make decisions with limited information in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Bias towards action to uncover new opportunity area
