What You Will Do:

• Architect and build scalable, distributed, and fault-tolerant systems that enhance Clover's engineering capabilities and help win customers' hearts and minds.

• Collaborate with development teams to design and support a robust platform, fostering adoption and excellence across all Clover products.

• Engage with various teams to streamline system architectures and implement efficient solutions.

• Design and refine core server platform components based on real-time feedback from developers who use the system.

• Scale systems sustainably through automation, contribute to improvements in reliability, and handle incident responses with a focus on continuous learning and adaptation.

• Explore and integrate new technologies to drive project completion and enhance platform capabilities.

What you need to have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 5+ years of industry experience in programming with Java, C++, or other OOP languages.

• Proficiency in modern containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Strong background in developing backend services, with a solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design.

• Skilled in diagnosing technical issues, debugging code, and automating routine tasks.

• Experience with relational databases.

What would be nice to have:

• Expertise in decomposing services and architecting cloud-based, high-availability distributed systems.

• Knowledge of multithreading, concurrency, and parallel processing.

• Familiarity with a range of technologies including:

•  Cloud Platforms: Kubernetes (EKS, GKE), VMs (GCE, EC2), Terraform for provisioning.

•  API Development: OpenAPI, Protobuf, GraphQL.

•  Networking: Service meshes like Istio, and proxies such as Nginx and Envoy.

•  Caching and Observability: Tools like Redis, Datadog, and Prometheus.

Salary Range

$124,300.00 - $213,100.00
