Security Awareness and Engagement Engineer

About the Team
This team’s primary responsibility is ensuring the security of Clover by building tooling and automation that supports application and platform engineering in writing and deploying secure code and infrastructure quickly.
This team consults with other engineering teams on architecture, security reviews, vendor selection and qualification, and training / best practices.
What you will do:
Implement an engaging and effective security awareness training program, including basic training for new hires, plus supplemental training throughout the year / for more specific groups
Launch and manage a Security Champions program, with regular programming (workshops, events, etc.)
Manage Clover’s phishing simulation program, including helping to design attack scenarios / templates, as well as reporting
Help build a strong, positive security culture across all of Clover
Collaborate with other teams to build a “security behavior data lake” that can be used to assess security awareness gaps and identify teams that require additional engagement to improve security behavior
Organize company-wide security-related events (e.g. CTFs, security-related hackathons)
What you will need to have:
5+ years of experience with security awareness, training, and/or behavior change
5+ years of experience in application security ideally from a software or architecture background
Experience building a positive security culture in an organization
Basic understanding of information security fundamentals
Passion for security awareness and engagement
Basic understanding of data reporting and analytics
What would be great to have:
Experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g. Snowflake, MySQL)
Basic scripting skills (e.g. Bash, Python)
Experience with Security Awareness / Engagement platforms (e.g. Elevate Security, KnowBe4)
Experience with data reporting / BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Sigma)
SANS Security Awareness Professional (SSAP) or similar certification
Experience with Google Workspace security / anti-phishing tooling

Salary Range
$128,800.00-$219,000.00
These pay ranges apply to employees in New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
