About the Team

Clover devices handle the core credit card and Point-Of-Sale processing for hundreds of thousands of merchants worldwide, forming the backbone for millions of payments interactions between merchants and their customers daily.  The DevOps team enables this via a cloud platform that provides processing, storage and collaboration for developers, service providers, our merchants, and their customers. 

What does a DevOps Engineer do at Clover?    

  • Continued modernization of our tech stack by leveraging Kubernetes + GCP

  • Ensure our systems remain operational, safe, and secure.

What you will do:

  • Analyze current tech stack and conduct process reengineering to improve/expand our capabilities.

  • Support, update, and validate all Kubernetes clusters are performing at optimal levels.

  • Manage various microservices platforms and ensure hw/sw platforms are in place to deliver results.

  • Automate and maintain software delivery workflows using CI/CD pipelines.

  • Design and implement scalable, distributed, fault tolerant systems that satisfy complex requirements.

  • Designing and implementing best practices for software development which include security, monitoring, and telemetry.

What you will need to have:

  • Cloud Platform (GCP, AWS or Azure)

  • Container tech such as Docker/Openshift or Kubernetes/GKE/EKS/AKS

  • Python, or shell (bash) scripting

  • Deep understanding of Linux.  Knowledge of infrastructure and security.

  • CI/CD: Jenkins, TravisCI, Spinnaker or GitLabIaC technologies such as Terraform.

  • Collecting and processing metrics from tools (Waverfront, Prometheus, Datadog, NewRelic) and setting up SLO/SLA targets.

What would be great to have:

  • Degree in CS, CE or relevant field.

  • Linux Admin (CentOS), Python, Puppet (or Chef)

  • Terraform, Encryption/certs/security

  • Monitoring: TCollector/ DataDog/ Grafana, YAML / XML, ELK Stack, Git / Github / Gitlab Admin, Bash / Shell / Java, Yum/RPM, Docker, Kubernetes, GCP/AWS

$115,200.00 - $192,000.00
