Senior Cloud Platform Engineer

TITLE:                                 Senior Cloud Platform Engineer

EMPLOYER:                               Fiserv Solutions, LLC

LOCATION:                                 Milwaukee, WI (and various unanticipated locations throughout the US subject to authorization from management)

DUTIES:                                      Design and implement highly resilient systems capable of seamless operation across multiple regions. Design automated system creation processes to facilitate rapid deployment across multiple regions to support business expansion. Leverage automation tools to streamline Kubernetes cluster deployment. Design and implement solutions to seamlessly perform disaster recovery during outages. Develop features that streamline the maintenance of existing systems to reduce time and effort. Resolve and troubleshoot technical issues encountered by application teams on the Kubernetes platform to maintain the platform's stability and performance. Provision and maintain production infrastructure to ensure seamless application deployment and configuration management.

REQUIREMENTS:                     Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related field and 7 years in any job title involving software engineering experience. In the alternative, employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related field and 5 years in any job title involving software engineering experience. Prior experience must include: 2 years of setting up, configuring, and monitoring clusters for workload deployment using Docker and Kubernetes; 2 years of engineering robust Cloud infrastructure and architecture using Infrastructure as Code; Developing and maintaining backend services; Using data structures and algorithms to create system designs; Diagnosing and analyzing technical issues including production outages, debugging code, and automating tasks including cluster upgrades; Configuring and fine-tuning relational databases for scalability and reliability; and Designing CI/CD pipelines for application deployment to production clusters.
