What does a great SDET Billing Engineer do?
Every day, Clover devices handle the core credit card and point-of-sale processing for hundreds of thousands of merchants. Behind the scenes, we operate a cloud platform providing processing, storage and collaboration for merchants, application developers, service providers and our merchants' customers. To support all of this, we have a team of engineers dedicated to ensuring our systems remain operational, safe and secure. Under limited supervision the SDET Engineer is responsible for conducting complex user acceptance testing and providing technical support of software systems for which there are no precedents or guidelines.
As a SDET Billing Engineer, you can look forward to:
Researching test tools, methodologies, and trends and upgrading existing practices and processes
Writing unit, integration, and instrumentation tests
Setting up, maintaining, and performing tests in automation frameworks for multiple application platforms, such as Mobile, Web, and Server
Understanding project documents, customer demands, and product objectives to create and execute test cases
Building test scenarios and acceptance tests
Executing QA within development, stage, and production environments
Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
Bachelors degree
7+ years experience of IT experience
5+ years in SDET
Experience managing the software development lifecycle in a distributed cloud based environment
Experience with object oriented programming using Java
Experience manipulating and analyzing large datasets
Experience in Java, MySQL, Python ((or other scripting languages) and RESTful APIs
Preferred qualifications for consideration:
Bachelors degree
Experience with a cloud platform: AWS, Google Cloud, etc.
