Technical Solutions Engineer II (Recent College Graduate)
What does an exceptional Technical Solutions Engineer do?
Clover delivers a full stack point of sale system with custom hardware, OS, Cloud based POS software, open APIs, and app market with more than 500 apps. In Clover Developer Relations “DevRel”, we value collaboration and teamwork. Successful candidates will bring the desire to experiment, learn, and exhibit strong empathy for software developers. This role is supported by a team of Partner Success Managers, Technical Writers, and Squad Engineers who help provide in depth technical knowledge in a responsive and close-knit environment. This is a people-oriented and highly visible position. It gives you the opportunity to work with a wide range of developers, from those new to the platform to industry vets.
As a Technical Solutions Engineer, you can look forward to:
Working with third party developers to build fantastic apps that solve real world problems.
Answer questions around Clover’s REST APIs & SDKs (Windows, iOS, Android)
Provide examples and demo apps that showcase Clover features and best practices.
Build tools that simplify app development and support.
Working with our technical writers in improving documentation for our developer platform.
Partnering with Clover Operations and Engineering teams in investigating challenges.
Building and managing relationships with our strategic developers.
Partnering with Clover teams to track feature requests from strategic partners.
Ensuring onboarding for large scale app deployments run smoothly.
Tracking and managing device re-provisioning and devkit requests.
Coordinating new Clover Hardware rollouts with 3rd party developers.
Being available to answer operational questions from developers.
Assist with Clover webinars, meetups, and hackathons that highlight our APIs and SDKs.
Taking a data-driven approach with internal stakeholders communicating process improvements.
Monitoring developer forums and merchant reviews.
Representing the Clover brand externally when interacting with developers.
Basic Qualifications for consideration:
Bachelor’s degree required, CIS, MIS, EE or Technology related degree preferred.
1+ year of experience in Technical Support and/or related technical Internships.
Preferred Qualifications for consideration:
Experience in writing SQL queries and creating reports.
Technical requirement gathering for software application projects.
Experience in both technical and customer-facing roles.
Experience building surveys and feedback forms.
Experience moderating posts on social platforms.
