What does an exceptional Senior Data Engineer do?
As a Data Engineer, you will be a part of a small but growing team of hardworking people responsible for leading efforts to establish data operation process and culture at Clover and enhance Clover’s data platform. You will be responsible for leading efforts related to implementing platform data features on snowflake, build complex data pipelines for movement and provide value engineering on several aspects for database and application involving snowflake
As a Data Engineer, you can look forward to:
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data engineering solutions on Snowflake involving GCP and AWS cloud platforms
Build scalable data pipelines and transformations involving data movement between different varied data sources and data destinations.
Learn and implement BI tools for reporting on several sources including Snowflake
Collaborate with different stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into effective data solutions
Optimize data structures and database performance to ensure high reliability, availability, and scalability
Develop best practices for, data pipelines, data governance, data models and data structures data analysis.
Analyze and implement existing and new snowflake features in coordination with development engineers and vendors.
Basic Qualifications for consideration:
● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
● 5+ years of Data engineering experience
● 3+ years of experience with MySQL or similar relational databases
● 2+ years of experience with Snowflake or similar analytical databases
● 3+ years of experience with building data pipelines
● 3+ years of experience with building data models
● Experienced in the day-to-day practicalities of Software Development Lifecycles such as Scrum.
Preferred Qualifications for consideration:
● Understanding of databases (Snowflake mandatory and Mysql preferable)
● Experience writing efficient SQL queries including multi-table joins
● Experience with a cloud platform, preferably Google Cloud
● Python scripting experience
● Data warehouse experience (Snowflake preferred)
● Data analysis/reporting/mathematics background
Salary Range
$112,900.00 - $192,000.00These pay ranges apply to employees in New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
